AI is contributing to art-making processes by performing human tasks; for example, services such as Amper or Jukedeck compose music with AI, enabling both professional and non-professional musicians to create their own dedicated music tracks for podcasts, videos and games at a low cost, starting the new era of symbiotic creativity.
The focus of task is to investigate methods to enable the AI system to be “human compatible” in the creation process. Accordingly, we will address the scientific challenge of finding ways to guide an AI artist to “think” and to be “creative”, instead of simply “mimicking art.” This goal can be achieved by tackling three subtasks:

Describing Human Experience
Learning Descriptors of human cognitive/emotional/ behavioural patterns from brain and physiological signals

Generative AI Algorithms
Developing Novel algorithms that enable the generation of Meaningful, Novel and Interesting artefacts

Rich Data Asset
Building The world’s first data repository of well-curated human-in-the-loop art data labeling that supports secure sharing

Affordable and
Ubiquitous Capturing
Exploring the use of commodity
devices to support manifestation and behaviour capturing for anyone,
anywhere, anytime

Comprehensive XR
Supporting the manifestation of a
wide range of art forms with different modes of immersion

Human-machine
Embodied Interaction
Curating art experience within a holographic environment
