This spring, the HKBU Jao Tsung-I Academy of Sinology will collaborate with the Shanghai Museum and the Sanxingdui Museum, Guanghan, Sichuan for a photo exhibition with the theme of “Auspicious Bronzes in Full Glory”, to provide learning opportunities on ancient Chinese bronze vessels and relevant knowledge, and to showcase the splendid culture and art in Early China. High-resolution photos of bronze vessels of a history of 3,000-4,000 years will be displayed, including but not limited to Da ke ding - Large ding (food container) made for Ke, Jia with Animal Masks, Zhong (bells) made for Su, Duke of Jin from the Shanghai Museum, and Bronze portrait bust with gold mask, No. 1 Bronze Sacred Tree and Gold cane from the Sanxingdui Museum, to introduce the bronze vessel culture of Early China.
