Pandoras’ Box 3.0: Playback Theatre x Interactive Installation
15Jul 2021
11:00am – 8:00pm
18Jul 2021
- Koo Ming Kown Exhibition Gallery, Lee Shau Kee Communication and Visual Arts Building, Baptist University Road Campus
- Performers: Encounter Playback Theatre, StoryBox (HKBU)

Growing out of the methodology of playback theatre, Pandoras’ Box is an ever-developing project that explores authentic and unspoken stories from women. Born in 2017, it started as an intimate playback gathering in a cozy space in Peng Chau. It then developed into an interactive exhibition in 2019. Apart from exhibiting 10 authentic gender-related taboo stories, various playback theatre happenings were staged to create a space for internal and interpersonal dialogues as gendered beings.
This year, the box is open again, for more stories, encounters and resonances. Co-organised by Department of Humanities and Creative Writing and Pandoras' Box, and supported by Department of English Language and Literature and Encounter Playback Theatre, this journey will let you experience 10 women stories, reflect on gender issues through interactive installations, and enjoy various Playback Theatre experiences.
