On 19 January 2026, the Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) research community gathered to celebrate excellence and foster connections at the 2024/2025 Outstanding Research Output Awards (OROA) Presentation Ceremony. Hosted by the Research Office, the event honored 17 researchers for the significant impact of their work. It also provided a vibrant platform for faculty to mingle and exchange ideas, paving the way for future interdisciplinary collaboration.

Professor Lyu Aiping, Vice-President (Research and Development), thanks the awardees and “Rising Stars” for their contributions to academia and the HKBU research environment. He also shares his research and work principles, encouraging all researchers and colleagues to pursue high-quality work and a collaborative spirit.
The 17 awardees of the OROA represent a multitude of expertise, hailing from six different faculties and schools. Award recipients were drawn from the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, the School of Business, the School of Chinese Medicine, the School of Communication, the School of Creative Arts, and the Faculty of Science. This broad representation underscores HKBU's commitment to fostering all-round research talent across its academic community.
