HKBU research gains major boost to tackle Alzheimer's and advance disease detection

Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) is proud to announce that two of its academics have been awarded prestigious grants of RMB 3 million each under the 2025 Shenzhen-Hong Kong-Macau Science and Technology Plan (Category C).

 

Chair Professor Li Min from the School of Chinese Medicine will pursue a groundbreaking project that integrates traditional Chinese medicine with modern biomedical science. Her work aims to develop innovative therapeutic strategies for neurodegenerative diseases.

 

Meanwhile, Assistant Professor Wang Shu Jen from the Department of Physics will advance his research in next-generation organic electronic devices. His project is set to revolutionize biosensing technologies, with significant contributions to the fields of bioelectronics and precision medicine.

 

These awards underscore HKBU's strong commitment to interdisciplinary research and regional collaboration, demonstrating how the University's scientific innovation is dedicated to solving critical societal challenges.
