HKBU scholar retains No. 1 for Hong Kong in the Association for Information Systems (AIS) Research Rankings
Professor Christy Cheung, Chair Professor in Information Systems and Digital Innovation Management, HKBU School of Business, achieved the top rank in Hong Kong and the 16th rank worldwide in the recently released Association for Information Systems (AIS) Research Rankings. The rankings are based on the list of global high-quality journals by the AIS, accumulated from 2021 to 2023.
Professor Cheung’s influence extends globally, ranked among the world’s top 2% of scholars in her field. Beyond research, her academic leadership spans editorial roles in major journals and the presidency of the Hong Kong Association for Information Systems (HKAIS). Her dedication to mentorship and excellence in scholarship has earned her multiple awards, such as the Research Grant Council (RGC) Senior Research Fellow and the (Emerald Publishing) Emerald Literati Network Awards for Excellence. Her recent research interests include IT and Well-Being, Responsible Use of Technology, and Societal Implications of IT Use.
The AIS Research Rankings service is a globally reputable indicator tracking publications in eight leading information systems (IS) journals in the AIS Senior Scholars’ basket of journals, a defined basket of high-quality journals in the field of business information systems and digitisation.
