In his welcome remarks, Professor Lyu expressed his appreciation to HKBU’s devoted researchers, who not only make impactful discoveries that benefit society but are also committed to mentoring next-generation scholars. "Every award winner here today shows the strength of HKBU's research environment. Your success also helps make this environment better for everyone else," he said.

"But good research does not stop with one generation. It is like a relay race. That is why we are also proud to celebrate our Early Career Researchers. You are our future. We are happy to see you build on the strong work of those before you. Your courage to try new things keeps our university young and full of energy."
