
Research Mingle: fostering connections and showcasing research to kickstart the Year of the Horse

On 2 March, the Research Office welcomed the spring festival spirit by hosting the "Research Mingle: Celebrating Chinese New Year". The event brought together over 70 researchers and colleagues from across faculties and schools for an afternoon of connection , embodying the season's themes of gathering and unity.
The vibrant event featured a variety of engaging activities, including a traditional calligraphy booth, an interactive photo booth, and a dedicated research showcase area. More than just a celebration, the mingle served as a dynamic platform for the HKBU research community to network and, most importantly, exchange ideas to foster future interdisciplinary projects.

The event also provided a timely platform to look ahead to International Women's Day on 8 March. Special showcase highlighted research projects exploring critical topics such as gender roles, family dynamics, and evolving societal norms, sparking meaningful conversations among attendees.

The celebratory spirit was palpable throughout the afternoon. From the creative twists of the lucky draw to the hands-on fun at the calligraphy booth, the various activities brought joy and laughter to all who participated.
