Ten HKBU professors to serve as supervisors for Hong Kong Scholars Program to guide top research talent from the Chinese Mainland

In the latest cycle of the Hong Kong Scholars Program, ten HKBU scholars have been paired with outstanding young researchers from universities on the Chinese Mainland, including leading institutions such as Peking University, to serve as their supervisors.
The supervisory team, which includes chair professors Professor Michael Ng Kwok-po, Professor Xu Jianliang, and Professor Zhang Ge, will guide the incoming researchers as postdoctoral fellows to advance research in areas including climate science, paediatric diseases, and AI, propelling cross-border academic exchange and development.
With the number of supervisors more than doubling from the previous cycle, this achievement reflects HKBU’s sustained commitment to nurturing research talent nationwide and playing a key role in supporting the technological and knowledge advancement of both the nation and academia.
