Since its establishment, Mr. Simon Suen and Mrs. Mary Suen Sino-Humanitas Institute (SHI) has been actively promoting research on Chinese Cultures and carrying out various academic activities to provide a wide range of exchange platforms for young scholars.
On 1 July 2022, SHI organized The 7th Young Scholars Conference online. Under the theme of “Literary Practice, Interpretation and Construction: Contemporary Reflections of Classical Chinese Literature”, the conference invited 15 young scholars from various institutions in Hong Kong, Mainland China, Taiwan, and the United States to share their insights on Chinese classical prose, poetry and Ci, fictions, rhetoric, literary criticism, literary communication, cultural studies, etc. It aims for reflections on the practice and process of literary production, through textual interpretation and construction. Over 250 scholars, students and guests from the public participated in the conference.
