HKBU scholar wins golden prize at the National Exhibition of Inventions

The 25th National Exhibition of Inventions was held in Guangdong Foshan during 10-12 December 2021. The invention “A portable workstation for measuring COVID-19 antibody concentration” submitted by Prof. Zongwei Cai and Dr. Lin Zhu from the HKBU State Key Laboratory of Environmental and Biological Analysis was awarded golden prize on the exhibition.  This device aims at providing a convenient, machine & electricity free, and portable testing platform for COVID-19 antibody tests. The invention also received a golden prize at China (Shanghai) International Exhibition of Inventions in April 2021 and awarded the Chinese utility model in December 2021.

 

The exhibition and the competition are hosted by China Association of Inventions (CAI). A total of 6 gold, 10 silver, 9 bronze, and 1 Youth Award were awarded to Hong Kong Pavilion at the exhibition this year.
