

We are proud to share HKBU’s latest significant milestone in the THE Impact Rankings, climbing to 69th place globally – a remarkable advancement from the 101-200 band last year. This achievement underscores HKBU’s growing influence in addressing global challenges through interdisciplinary research and education.
HKBU is once again the world’s 2nd in the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (UN SDG) 4 (Quality Education), maintaining its prestigious position for two consecutive years. Additionally, the University has been ranked among the top 100 institutions in nine* of the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), a substantial rise from five SDGs in 2024, with notable progress in areas such as Life Below Water (SDG 14) and Life on Land (SDG 15). These results affirm global recognition of HKBU’s dedication to integrating sustainability into its research and academic frameworks.
