"Research Mixer" event unites diverse scholars to energise research community

As the new semester begins, we are more than thrilled to announce the successful resumption of our Office’s “Research Mixer” event on September 13, 2024 (Friday)! Researchers from a variety of disciplines within the HKBU research community gathered to forge new connections, share insights on grant applications and research initiatives, and foster interdisciplinary collaborations, enriching our vibrant research culture.

The event was energetically kicked off by our talented MC, Dr Dimple Thadani from the School of Business. The first speaker, Mr Ivan Lau, Senior Manager from the Research Office, shared valuable details and statistics on grant applications. Ms Wang Lu, Institutional Research Analyst of the Office of Institutional Research and Planning, followed by providing in-depth insights for future projects.

Dynamic group discussions were then led by eight facilitators and culminating in presentations of key takeaways. The participating researchers found the tactics shared to be highly useful and engaging.
