Biography:
Prof. Long is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry, and Fellow of the European Academy of Sciences. He possesses wide-ranging experience in synthetic inorganic and organometallic chemistry and his interests are focused on biomedical imaging chemistry, catalysis and applied materials chemistry (237 publications, h index = 53). He has graduated 58 PhD students and generated grant income of over £30M. He is Deputy Director of EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training in Medical Imaging (KCL/ICL), was a Royal Society Wolfson Research Merit Award Holder (2018-22), won the 2006 RSC Prize for Organometallic Chemistry, and the 2020 RSC Frankland Award. He was a Panel Member (Chemistry) in the UK REF (RAE) 2021 exercise.

- To clarify queries from academic staff on the RAE.
