HKBU Research Website Wins WebAward 2020

Hong Kong Baptist University is honoured to receive an Outstanding Website Award at WebAwards 2020 for its Research Website research.hkbu.edu.hk.

The HKBU Research Website was launched in May 2020. In an effort to streamline communication, this new site serves as a hub for all HKBU research-related news, information and activities. With a creative interface and visually appealing design, this website not only showcases the University’s research capacity and strengths, but also fosters communication and collaboration among our internal and external stakeholders.

The WebAward, presented annually by the Web Marketing Association since 1997, is the longest running and standards-defining competition that sets industry benchmarks for the best websites. It aims to provide a forum to recognise the people and organisations responsible for developing some of the most effective websites on the Internet today.

A panel of independent Internet experts judged the HKBU Research Website on seven areas including design, innovation, content, technology, interactivity, copywriting and ease of use, and gave the website a high overall score above the industry average in the University category.
