Research Mingle - Celebrating the CNY: A Day of Calligraphy and Connection

BACK

We were thrilled to host a culturally enriching afternoon at our "Research Mingle – Celebrating the CNY" event on February 10, 2025. This gathering united Professor Lyu Aiping, Vice-President (Research and Development), with researchers from various disciplines, celebrating the essence of the Chinese New Year while fostering interdisciplinary connections and community.

Participants had the opportunity to appreciate the art of brush strokes as they crafted their own unique Chinese "fai chun." The festive atmosphere was enhanced by a variety of catered food and drinks, allowing everyone to enjoy the offerings while networking with fellow researchers. Additionally, attendees captured joyful moments at the photo booth, adding a fun and memorable touch to the day.

During the event, Professor Lyu highlighted the potential of the latest AI technology to enhance human knowledge and elevate understanding beyond the norm, while emphasising that achieving true excellence requires a deeper commitment.
